How do I register my Seniors Card to receive the MVR discount?

To receive the discount of $55 off your car registration you need to provide your seniors card number to MVR prior to paying your registration, this should only need to be done once when you first get your card.

As of 4 February 2026, NT Seniors Card concession holders now have the ability to apply to register their card details without the need to attend an MVR. The online application is easy to do and take less than 5 minutes.

Important information for our NT Seniors

They can apply online to register their NT Seniors Card with MVR
They only need to register the card once to access concessions
They will need to upload a copy of the NT Seniors Card
Australian Government and interstate concession cards are not accepted
NT Concession Scheme Card holders do not need to register with MVR.
